What is LED Lighting?
What are the Features of LED Lighting?
One of the greatest inventions in the world of lighting, LED stands for Light Emitting Diode. LEDs are known as electronic products and are semiconductor, light-emitting electronic circuit elements. LEDs convert electrical energy into light energy. They are also different from other diodes, their main material is silicon, and they emit light by releasing photons when current passes through them. When an electric current is applied to a metal semiconductor made of silicon carbide, it emits a yellowish light.
Where are LED Lighting Systems Used?
LED products have semiconductor properties, and their lighting materials are always silicon. They emit light by releasing photons when current passes through them and are among electronic products. LED lighting products are manufactured to emit light from different angles. Additionally, their voltage and current graphs are exponential, and to prevent damage due to high current, LEDs are connected with a series current-limiting resistor. In this way, damage to the LEDs from imprecise voltage ranges is prevented. LEDs drop a constant voltage across them, similar to a red Zener diode. Known as electronic products, LEDs have become preferred in recent years with the use of blue light, making lighting features possible, and thus expanding the areas of LED use. Their usage areas include offices, streets and squares, public housing and site lighting, automotive industry interior and exterior lighting, maritime, boat, aircraft industries, gas stations, tennis courts, and many other different areas.
