Umrah in Practice

Our beloved Prophet (peace be upon him) said the following regarding Hajj and Umrah: "The Kaaba is one of the main pillars of Islam, whoever undertakes to perform Hajj or Umrah and sets out, is under the guarantee of Allah. If he dies, Allah will admit him to Paradise." Furthermore, Umrah is a worship that our Prophet (peace be upon him) called the minor Hajj. You can benefit from our pages to examine Hajj and Umrah prices. Some scholars even argue that Umrah is obligatory like Hajj, based on the verse 196 of Surah Al-Baqarah. In practice, Umrah consists of entering Ihram, performing Tawaf around the Kaaba, performing Sa'i between Safa and Marwah, and shaving all or part of the hair.

The Difference Between Hajj and Umrah

Hajj can only be performed during specific Hajj days. Additionally, Hajj, unlike Umrah, includes the actions of Ihram, Tawaf, Sa'i, and shaving, as well as the standing at Arafat and Muzdalifah, stoning the Jamarat (symbols of the devil), and sacrifice.
